Graphene Support Film For EM
This graphene support film represents an improved approach for cryo-EM specimen preparation. It enables the loading of biological macromolecules, single atoms and nanoparticles. The graphene support film exhibit negligible background noise and effectively alleviate the issues such as air-water interface, preferential orientation, thick ice layer, and particle movement, making it more convenient for users to achieve high-resolution imaging and structural analysis.

We utilizes chemical vapor deposition (CVD) to epitaxially grow large-area, high-quality graphene films on the copper foil and Cu(111)/sapphire wafer. This approach allows for the batch production of single-crystal, flat and clean graphene films with controllable layer.

Graphene can effectively enhance the adsorption of biomolecules. Simultaneously, the structural denaturation and preferred orientation of protein particles, caused by air-water in terface, can be avoided to improve the success rate of sample preparation. | ![]() |
| Graphene exhibits excellent mechanical and electrical properties, effectively suppressing particle movement caused by electron beams, significantly enhancing image quality and imaging resolution. |
Monolayer graphene has a thickness of only 0.34 nm with negligible background noise. Additionally, graphene facilitates the preparation of uniform thin ice, providing high contrast for small proteins (<100 kDa). | ![]() |
