The TEM grid is an important consumable for carrying samples on the transmission electron microscope(TEM), with the standard diameter of 3.05mm. However, the parameters such as rim width, hole size and bar width of grids have not been standardized. According to the years of accumulated experience in the production of grids and user suggestions, in accordance with the national standard design requirements, the concept of "standard grids" was first put forward in the world, which not only conforms to the traditional use habits, but also has scientific standardization and rationality, and meets the future development needs of digital electron microscopy technology.

Compared with the traditional TEM grids, it has the following characteristics:

1. The number of mesh is complete and the size distribution of mesh is reasonable, which can meet the needs of different research directions of customers;

2. When the mesh of the square grid is the same as that of the hexagonal one, the center distance and bar width parameters of the grids will also remain corresponding to the same;

3. The standard positioning hole is set uniformly at the edge of the grid, which can be applied to the positioning technology of digital electron microscopy in the same position of the central axis (symmetry);

4. For the grids with a certain number f mesh, its aperture and number of holes are also determined, which is convenient for digital production and application.
