EMCN® Holey Formvar Support Film Stabilized with Carbon
Holey Formvar Support films Stabilized with Carbon are essential tools in TEM, providing a stable, conductive, and low-noise platform for a wide range of samples. Their wide range of hole size makes them indispensable for high-resolution electron microscopy studies in biology, materials science, and nanotechnology.
The Formvar film is perforated with an array of holes, creating a "holey" structure. These holes allow electrons to pass through the sample with minimal obstruction, enhancing imaging quality by reducing background noise. A thin layer of porous carbon film is deposited onto the Formvar film. Carbon adds mechanical stability, improves electrical conductivity, and enhances the film's resistance to electron beam damage.
The total film thickness is 15-30nm.
The copper grids we used are hexagonal, but both Ni and Au are square mesh. If you have any specific requirment, please contact with us.
We offer a range of hole size from Nano to Micro. You can choose the proper type based on your sample size.

A1: In our lab, the standard procedure is to load the film into the compartment with the film side facing the letters on the grid box.
