GIG® Holey Pure Carbon Support Film for Cryo-TEM
GIG® array porous pure carbon support film, manufactured without plastics, is an support films that is particularly suitable for low temperature electron microscopy (Cryo-EM).
The GIG® Pure Holey Carbon Support Film is a new product manufactured by EMCN and research institution. This film is relatively flat and made solely of carbon without any organic layer. The GIG® holey carbon film is particularly suited for suspensions of nanomaterials, such as nanoparticles for HRTEM or viruses for cryo-TEM. During sample preparation, the high smoothness and uniform hole spacing of the GIG film facilitate the formation of an ice layer with uniform thickness. This makes it easier to obtain high-quality images of samples at low temperatures.
GIG is available in several standard array patterns with different hole diameters and spacings. Customization options are also available to meet your specific needs.
